The Importance of ATC & our students experience:
Aviation is a system of controlled chaos operated by maintaining safety and precision.
The ATC is the support system that keeps aviation & aviators safe by functioning efficiently and giving timely updates on traffic, Weather information, runway information, Instrument availability, Emergency procedures, Clearance to T/O & Land, vectors for the approach and a clear communication in any scenario or situation.
Our students experienced a whole new side to Aviation and saw how many people are involved to assist one aircraft to arrive and depart an airport. This experience has made them much more confident, comfortable, humble, and appreciative to the people on the other end of the VHF radio.
The ATC has divisions like the Area Control, Apron Control, Arrival, Departure, Tower & the Weather Department. The ATC showed us the whole picture of what goes on in the background when it comes to safety. The communication and the amount of concentration required to precisely know where each aircraft is, where it is going, where it is coming from, whom to hand them over to are all meticulously maintained by the well trained and highly skilled operators.
All this works in tandem to provide a seamless flow of information and communication between Ground and Air.
