Job Description:

As a Ground School Training Instructor specializing in pilot training, your primary role is to prepare students for their journey into the skies by providing comprehensive theoretical knowledge and practical insights. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide array of tasks aimed at nurturing and shaping the next generation of aviators. While your role will be primarily confined to ground school training, you will play a pivotal role in equipping aspiring pilots with the skills, knowledge, and mindset required for success in the aviation industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Curriculum Delivery: Deliver high-quality instruction in various subjects pertinent to aviation, including Air Navigation, Air Regulations, and Aircraft Systems. Ensure that students grasp complex concepts through engaging teaching methodologies and interactive sessions.
  2. Medical Test Guidance: Guide students through the medical examination process, providing insights into the requirements and expectations for obtaining a pilot’s medical certificate. Assist students in understanding and addressing any medical concerns or challenges they may encounter.
  3. Incident/Accident Evaluation: Facilitate brainstorming sessions and case studies on incident and accident evaluation, encouraging students to analyze real-life scenarios and develop critical thinking skills. Foster a culture of safety awareness and risk mitigation among aspiring pilots.
  4. Psychological Aptitude Development: Collaborate with psychologists to assess and enhance the psychological aptitude of pilot cadets. Conduct one-on-one sessions with students to address any psychological barriers or challenges they may face during their training journey.
  5. Airport Visits and Familiarization Trips: Organize airport visits and familiarization trips to expose students to commercial airline operations firsthand. Provide guided tours and practical insights into airport procedures, aircraft handling, and ground operations, enriching students’ understanding of the aviation industry.
  6. Flight Simulator Sessions: Facilitate flight simulator sessions to offer students a firsthand experience of flying and cockpit operations. Guide students through simulated flight scenarios, allowing them to develop confidence, decision-making skills, and situational awareness in a controlled environment.
  7. English Language Proficiency: Maintain a high level of proficiency in the English language, as it is the universal language of aviation. Communicate effectively with students, ensuring clarity and comprehension in all instructional materials and interactions.
  8. Individualized Support: Conduct one-on-one sessions with pilot students to address their specific learning needs, challenges, and goals. Provide personalized guidance and mentorship to help students navigate their training journey successfully.

 

 

Qualifications and Skills:

– Hold a valid pilot’s license (CPL) with relevant ratings and endorsements.

– Extensive experience in aviation, preferably as a certified flight instructor or airline pilot.

– In-depth knowledge of aviation theory, regulations, and procedures.

– Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students effectively.

– Proficiency in English language, both spoken and written.

– Experience in conducting training sessions, workshops, or seminars is desirable.

– Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
